Hand held or aerial infrared scanning is an accurate, cost-effective technique for detecting damage caused by moisture within the roof system. 

On sunny days, wet roof insulation absorbs much more solar heat than dry insulation. Upon nightfall, the infrared camera can detect the solar heat loss. Thus, cost-effective repairs, rather than complete replacement, can be completed.
